Williams Leads San Francisco to Win Over Montana

SAN FRANCISCO — Marcus Williams led San Francisco to a 71-67 victory over Montana on Saturday night, scoring 25 points to propel the Dons to their 10th win of the season.

Williams, who also grabbed five rebounds, was the standout performer for San Francisco (10-3). Alongside Williams, Tyrone Riley IV contributed significantly to the victory, adding 17 points while shooting 5 of 12 from the floor, including 4 of 7 from beyond the arc. Riley also finished with seven rebounds and helped solidify the Dons’ advantage in the second half.

Malik Thomas, another key player for San Francisco, also reached 17 points. He demonstrated his shooting prowess, converting 5 of 10 shots from the field, including 3 of 4 from three-point range, and 4 of 6 from the free-throw line.

Montana (7-6) put up a strong challenge, with Joe Pridgen leading the way for the Grizzlies. Pridgen recorded a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, showcasing his skill both on the offensive and defensive ends. Te’Jon Sawyer added 13 points, and Malik Moore contributed 10 points and four assists to the Grizzlies’ cause.

The game, which was close throughout, saw San Francisco hold off a late surge from Montana to secure the win. With Williams leading the charge, the Dons were able to control key moments in the final minutes of the game, ultimately securing a hard-fought 71-67 victory.
